Typical businesses

- Brands moving from marketplaces to their own store
- Book, stationery and hobby shops selling nationwide by courier
Modules that matter here
You started selling on a Facebook page, orders came through Messenger, and you shipped by Steadfast or Pathao with cash on delivery. Now there are hundreds of orders a month, a Google Sheet that nobody trusts, returned parcels piling up, and courier COD statements that never quite match what you think you are owed.
SORS ERP is the backend for that business. Orders from your website or entered by your team become sales orders, stock is reserved, Steadfast shipments are booked through its API from inside the system, and the customer gets a Bangla SMS confirmation. Pathao, Paperfly and CarryBee are set up as couriers with the consignment number entered by hand, and their statements are uploaded to reconcile COD instead of matching payouts manually.
There is no direct Facebook or Messenger integration, so page orders are keyed in by your staff, and the headless storefront can run your own website on Cloudflare Pages. Payments online go through SSLCommerz, which carries bKash, Nagad, Rocket and cards; there is no direct bKash merchant API yet.
What goes wrong today
- Orders scattered across Messenger and Sheets
- Every order is copied from a chat into a spreadsheet by hand. Addresses are wrong, phone numbers are mistyped, and when two people update the sheet at once, an order is quietly lost.
- COD statements never reconcile
- The courier pays out in lumps days after delivery. Matching each parcel to a payout, less charges and returns, takes an evening a week and the difference is usually written off as a mystery.
- Returned parcels eat the margin
- Customers refuse delivery or do not answer the phone. Return parcels come back weeks later, are not counted back into stock, and the delivery charge has been paid twice for nothing.
- Fake and duplicate orders
- Without an SMS or call confirmation, a share of orders are never real. They are packed, shipped and returned, and the courier fee is lost each time along with the packing.
- Stock on the page does not exist
- A product is still advertised after the last unit sold. The order is taken, the customer waits, and the refund or the apology costs more than the sale was ever worth.
How SORS ERP is set up for you
- Steadfast by API, others by entry Courier & Delivery
- Create shipments from orders and book Steadfast through its API with tracking inside the ERP. Pathao, Paperfly and CarryBee are set up as couriers with manual consignment entry and statement upload for COD reconciliation; API booking for them is on the roadmap.
- SMS confirmation and delivery alerts SMS & WhatsApp
- Triggers send a Bangla or English SMS when an order is placed, confirmed, shipped or delivered, through local gateways. Templates and logs keep every message on record, and OTP is available for the storefront.
- Your own storefront on the ERP E-commerce
- Run a website whose cart, checkout, orders, wishlist and reviews come from the ERP. Abandoned carts are listed for follow-up, and the homepage builder manages banners, sections and category menus.
- Live stock behind every listing Inventory & Warehouses
- Stock is reserved when an order is placed and returned when a parcel comes back and is checked in. Multi-warehouse tracking covers a home stockroom and a rented godown at the same time.
- Returns, refunds and exchanges Sales & Invoicing
- Sales returns with return policies, refunds recorded against the original order, and customer debit notes for exchanges. Every step posts to accounts so the profit figure is real, not hopeful.
- Repeat customers and campaigns Customers, CRM & Loyalty
- Customer profiles with purchase history, segments for repeat buyers, loyalty points, coupons and flash sales. Marketing campaigns and automated notifications go out to the segment you choose.
A day inside the system
The order of events as it runs in SORS ERP.
- 1
Order arrives from page or website
Website orders land in the ERP automatically. Messenger orders are keyed in by staff with the customer's name, phone number and delivery address.
- 2
Confirm by SMS or call
An order placed SMS goes out, staff confirm doubtful orders by phone, and confirmed orders move to packing with stock reserved against them.
- 3
Pack and book the courier
Shipments are created against orders. Steadfast bookings go through its API; for Pathao, Paperfly or CarryBee the consignment number is entered by hand. The tracking reference is stored on the order.
- 4
Deliver and update the customer
Tracking status updates the order and a delivery SMS goes to the customer. Refused parcels are marked for return so they are expected back.
- 5
Reconcile COD and returns
Courier statements are uploaded and matched to delivered orders in courier payments, charges are recorded, and returned parcels are checked back into stock.
Frequently asked questions
Does SORS ERP connect to Facebook or Messenger?
No. Orders from a Facebook page are entered by your staff, or come in automatically from your own website built on the ERP's storefront. We say this plainly because many sellers ask; if Messenger order capture is important to you, talk to us about customisation.
Which couriers are integrated?
Steadfast is integrated by API for booking and tracking. Pathao, Paperfly and CarryBee can be set up as couriers with the consignment number entered manually, and their statements uploaded to reconcile cash on delivery; API booking for them is on the roadmap. Shipping label printing is not available yet, so labels come from the courier's own portal.
How does COD reconciliation work?
Each COD order carries the amount to collect. When the courier pays out, you upload or enter the statement as a courier payment and match it against delivered orders, so the difference from charges, returns or short payment is visible per parcel rather than as one unexplained figure.
Can customers pay by bKash on the website?
Online payments go through SSLCommerz, which offers bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay, cards and bank transfer at checkout. There is no direct bKash merchant API integration yet. For orders confirmed over the phone, a bKash payment to your merchant number can be recorded as a payment method.
Is there a mobile app to manage orders?
There is no native app. The web app is responsive and installs as a PWA on Android or iPhone, so you can view orders, confirm them and check stock from the phone browser. The interface is in English today; Bangla item names and addresses work everywhere and a Bangla interface is on the roadmap.
