SORS ERP

ERP for garments and small manufacturers in Bangladesh

SORS ERP handles factory payroll with biometric attendance and overtime, purchase, inventory and accounting for garments units and small manufacturers, with production planning on the roadmap.

Typical businesses

  • Knit and woven garments units in Gazipur, Savar and Narayanganj
  • Sub-contract sewing and washing units
  • Small furniture, plastics and packaging manufacturers
  • Printing and embroidery workshops with shift workers
  • Food processing units with factory-floor payroll

Modules that matter here

You run a factory floor with hundreds of workers on shifts, overtime that changes every week, attendance from a ZKTeco device at the gate, and a salary sheet that must be right on the seventh of the month. Fabric, accessories and spare parts come in against purchase orders, and the accountant is expected to produce a balance sheet from all of it.

SORS ERP covers the payroll, HR, purchase, inventory and accounting side of that business today. Attendance punches sync from ZKTeco devices through a LAN agent, overtime and shifts feed payroll, income tax is deducted according to configurable slabs, and payslips and salary sheets are produced for each period.

We should be clear about one thing. Production planning, bill of materials and work orders are on our roadmap, not available today. If you need a production module now, we will say so and point you elsewhere; if payroll and accounts are your immediate pain, SORS ERP can start there.

What goes wrong today

Salary sheet built in Excel
Attendance is exported from the device, overtime is added by hand, and advances and deductions are remembered. One wrong cell and the whole floor knows by lunchtime on payday.
Overtime and shifts hard to prove
Buyers and auditors ask for attendance and overtime records. When punches, shift rosters and pay live in different files, producing a clean record for a compliance audit takes days.
Attendance devices not connected
The ZKTeco machine at the gate stores punches locally. Someone downloads them with a pen drive, and late or missing downloads mean disputed attendance and delayed pay for everyone.
Purchases and stock untracked
Fabric, trims, thread and machine spares are bought on request and issued without records. Nobody knows what is in the store or what the last supplier charged for the same item.
Accounts done after the fact
Bank, cash, supplier dues and payroll are compiled by an accountant at month end from paper. The owner sees profit or loss weeks late, and the Mushak return is a rush every time.

How SORS ERP is set up for you

Payroll from attendance to payslip HR & Payroll
Salary structures with payheads, overtime, advances and deductions, processed in a period with approve, disburse and finalise steps. Payslips print as PDF and the salary sheet is ready for the bank.
ZKTeco biometric attendance sync HR & Payroll
A LAN sync agent pushes punches from ZKTeco devices to the cloud. Shift schedules, attendance corrections, overtime and leave feed payroll, with attendance and punctuality reports for audits.
Requisitions, purchase orders and GRN Purchase & Suppliers
Floor supervisors raise requisitions, purchase orders go to suppliers, goods are received against them and supplier bills post to payables. Item-supplier links keep the last price visible.
Store stock for fabric and spares Inventory & Warehouses
Track fabric, trims and machine spares in the store with adjustments, transfers between units and stock valuation. Auto replenishment rules flag spares before a machine stands idle.
Accounts, budgets and Mushak Accounting & Mushak VAT
General ledger, bank reconciliation, cost centres per line or unit, budgets against actuals and multi-currency for export receipts. Mushak registers and the VAT return summary come from the same entries.
Production planning on the roadmap Manufacturing
Bill of materials, production plans, work orders and finished goods tracking exist as a module that is switched off while we finish it. We will tell you the timeline honestly rather than sell it early.

A day inside the system

The order of events as it runs in SORS ERP.

  1. 1

Workers punch in at the gate

ZKTeco punches sync to the ERP through the LAN agent. Late arrivals, absences and shift mismatches show up on the attendance dashboard the same morning.

  2. 2

    Supervisors approve overtime and leave

Overtime entries and leave applications go through the approval workflow. Corrections to attendance are recorded with a reason and an audit trail.

  3. 3

    Store issues materials against requisitions

Requisitions are finalised into purchase orders where needed, goods are received with a GRN, and store stock updates for fabric, trims and spares.

  4. 4

Payroll is processed for the period

Salary structures, attendance, overtime, advances and tax slabs produce the payroll. It moves through process, approve, disburse and finalise, and payslips are generated.

  5. 5

    Accounts close the month

Payroll, purchases and expenses have posted automatically. Bank reconciliation is done, the period is locked and the Mushak return summary is reviewed.

Frequently asked questions

Does SORS ERP have a production or BOM module?

Not yet. Manufacturing, with bill of materials, production plans, work orders and finished goods, is on our roadmap and the module is switched off in the current release. Payroll, HR, purchase, inventory and accounting are available today. We would rather say this plainly than have you find out after signing.

Which attendance devices does it support?

ZKTeco biometric devices, through a LAN sync agent that runs as a Windows service or a Node process on a PC in the factory and pushes punches to the cloud. Other devices are not integrated today; attendance can also be imported or entered manually.

Can it calculate overtime and income tax for workers?

Yes. Overtime is recorded against shifts and flows into payroll through salary components. Income tax slabs are configurable per financial year following the NBR circular, tax declarations are recorded, and the deduction is applied automatically in payroll.

Can it handle two units in different locations?

Yes. Employees are organised by organisation, office location, department and position, so two units can run on one system with their own shifts, stores and cost centres. Ask us about hosting sized for your headcount, or run it on your own server.

Is it suitable for a small factory rather than a large export unit?

Yes, that is where it fits best today: a small or medium unit that needs payroll, attendance, purchase, stock and accounts working together. Large export factories that need production planning and sewing line tracking should wait for the manufacturing module or consider a specialised garments ERP.
