Where this matters most
Every module in SORS ERP starts from the same item. A product is created once with its category, brand, unit, attributes and specifications, and that record drives purchasing, stock, POS, invoicing and the online storefront. Change a price or a photo and the shop counter and the website see it at the same time, with no second catalog to maintain.
Variants and specifications are handled properly, because a phone shop sells the same model in three colours and two storage sizes, and a computer shop needs processor, RAM and warranty fields on every laptop page. Attribute sets define the variant axes and specification templates define the fields, so new products are consistent without retyping.
Pricing is a system, not a single field. Price tiers set different prices for customer types or segments and for quantity breaks, per-item pricing overrides them, bulk updates reprice a whole category before Eid, and pricing history records who changed what and when. Barcodes and units complete the record.

What is included
- Categories, brands and units
- Organise products in a category tree with brands and units of measure, and reuse the same structure for storefront menus and reports. Units cover pieces, boxes, kilograms or any measure you sell in.
- Items with variants
- Create a parent item and generate variants from attribute sets such as colour, size or storage, each with its own SKU, barcode, price and stock. Colours and size types are managed centrally.
- Specification templates
- Define specification templates per category so every laptop, phone or air conditioner carries the same fields. Specifications show on product pages and power comparison and search on the storefront.
- Price tiers by customer type
- Set price tiers for customer types or segments with a discount or markup percentage, minimum quantity and priority. The matching tier is applied on invoices and at the POS counter.
- Per-item pricing and history
- Override the tier for a specific item, set minimum and maximum prices, and see the full pricing history with the user and date of every change when a customer questions last month rate.
- Bulk price updates
- Reprice a category, brand or selected list by percentage or amount in one operation. Useful when a supplier changes cost or the taka moves against the dollar and hundreds of prices need to follow.
- Packages and promotions
- Bundle items into packages with a package price, and run promotions with dates and rules that apply at the counter and in invoicing, so a festival offer does not depend on staff remembering it.
- Barcodes and labels
- Generate barcodes for items, variants and serials from label templates and print them in batches. Imported items can keep their manufacturer EAN-13 barcodes instead of being relabelled.
- Import from Excel or CSV
- Load your product list from Excel or CSV with categories, brands, prices and barcodes, choose how duplicates are handled, and assign a default category to rows that lack one.
- Storefront sync
- Items sync to the headless storefront automatically, with images, specifications, related products, shipping templates and EMI display, so the website is never a separate catalog to maintain.
In Bangladesh
A computer shop in Multiplan Center or IDB Bhaban lists hundreds of laptops, components and accessories, each with a specification sheet buyers compare line by line. SORS ERP specification templates and attribute sets were built for that catalog, and the same data feeds the PC Builder on the storefront.
Pricing in Bangladesh moves with the dollar and with the season. Bulk price updates reprice a whole brand when the import cost changes, price tiers give wholesale and retail customers different prices from one item, and pricing history keeps the record when a customer questions the rate they paid last month.
Product names, specifications and descriptions can be stored in Bangla or English, and barcodes print for items that arrive without one. Items import from Excel or CSV, which is where most shops keep their list today.
Frequently asked questions
Can I sell the same product at different prices to wholesale and retail customers?
Yes. Price tiers set a discount or markup for customer types or segments, optionally with a minimum quantity, and the matching price is applied on invoices and at the counter. Per-item pricing can override a tier for specific products.
Does it handle product variants like colour and size?
Yes. Attribute sets define the variant axes and the ERP generates a variant per combination with its own SKU, barcode, price and stock. Stock and sales are tracked per variant while the parent item groups them.
Can I import my product list from Excel?
Yes. Upload an Excel or CSV file with names, categories, brands, prices and barcodes, choose how duplicates are handled and assign a default category if some rows lack one. Existing EAN-13 barcodes are kept.
Do prices update on my website automatically?

How do specification templates work?
You define a template per category with the fields a buyer expects, such as processor, RAM, display and warranty for laptops. Each new item under that category presents those fields, and the storefront uses them for product pages and comparison.
