Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about SORS ERP, compliance, migration, pricing and support. If yours is missing, ask us.
Getting started
Is SORS ERP suitable for a small shop, or only for large companies?
Both. Modules are switched on per business, so a single shop can start with accounting, sales and stock, while a distributor with twelve branches runs POS, payroll, couriers and e-commerce on the same system. You pay for the users and modules you use.
Does SORS ERP generate Mushak 6.3 automatically?
Yes. When a sale is saved, the Mushak 6.3 tax invoice is generated and numbered in sequence. Purchases feed the Mushak 6.1 register, and the system prepares VAT return and turnover-tax return summaries from the registers so your accountant can file on the NBR portal.
Can I accept bKash, Nagad, Rocket and Upay?
Online payments run through SSLCommerz, which carries bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay, cards and bank transfer. At the counter, mobile money payments are recorded against the relevant MFS provider so they reconcile with your statements. There is no direct bKash merchant API integration yet.
Can I move from Tally or Excel to SORS ERP?
Yes. Items, parties, opening balances and stock are imported from Excel templates we provide, and our team does the import with you during onboarding. Most migrations take one to three weeks depending on how clean the data is.
Does SORS ERP work in Bangla?
Partly, and we want to be precise: the screens are in English today. Bangla works everywhere as data, so item names, customer addresses, receipts, invoices and reports can carry Bangla text, and SMS templates go out in Bangla Unicode correctly. Onboarding, training and support are in Bangla. A Bangla interface is on our roadmap.
Who owns the data, and can I export it?
You do. Every list and report exports to Excel or PDF, and you can request a full database export at any time. If you prefer, SORS ERP can run on a server you control instead of our cloud.
Is training and support available in Bangladesh?
Yes. Onboarding is delivered in Bangla or English on your own data, and support runs Sunday to Thursday during Bangladesh business hours by phone, WhatsApp and email. The people answering are the people who build the product.
How long does implementation take?
A single-location business is typically live in two to three weeks, including data import and training. Multi-branch setups with POS, payroll and e-commerce usually take four to eight weeks. We agree the timeline in writing before you commit.
What does SORS ERP cost?
Pricing is quote based and sized by users, locations and the modules you switch on. Every quote is in BDT and includes implementation and training. We reply within one working day. See the pricing page for what drives the number.
Does it work when the internet is slow or down?
SORS ERP is a web application that is light on bandwidth and works well over mobile data. It installs on phones and desktops as an app and shows a clear offline screen if the connection drops, then resumes. Saving a transaction does require a connection.
Product, hosting and support
Is SORS ERP cloud based or installed on my computer?
It is a web application. Most customers use our cloud, which includes hosting, backups and updates. Businesses that want full control can deploy it on their own server. Either way, you use it from any browser on a computer, tablet or phone.
Which industries is SORS ERP built for?
Retail and electronics shops, wholesale and distribution, e-commerce and F-commerce sellers, pharmacies, superstores, service businesses, and garments or small manufacturers for HR, payroll, purchase, inventory and accounting. A production module with bill of materials is on the roadmap.
Does SORS ERP have a POS?
Yes. The POS module supports multiple outlets and counters, counter check-in and sessions, held bills, barcode scanning, cash and mobile money payments, returns, end-of-day closing and Z-reports. Sales post to accounting and stock immediately.
Can SORS ERP run my online shop?
Yes. The ERP is the backend of a headless online store: products, prices, stock, cart, checkout, payments through SSLCommerz, orders, courier booking and customer SMS all run from the same system. Computer shops get a PC Builder and Keyboard Builder for configurators.
Which couriers are integrated?
Steadfast is API integrated: you book parcels and pull tracking updates from inside the ERP. Pathao, Paperfly and CarryBee are set up as couriers with manual consignment numbers, and their statements can be uploaded to reconcile cash-on-delivery collections against invoices. API booking for those three is on the roadmap.
Does payroll handle Bangladesh income tax?
Yes. Tax slabs are configured per financial year following the NBR circular, employees submit tax declarations, and the deduction is calculated in each payroll run. Payslips and salary sheets are generated as PDF and Excel.
Does it connect to fingerprint attendance machines?
Yes. ZKTeco devices are supported through a small sync agent that runs on a computer in your office or factory and pushes punches to the cloud, so attendance, overtime and late marks flow into payroll without manual entry.
Can you customise SORS ERP for my business?
Yes. We built it, so we can change it. Custom reports, document formats, approval flows and integrations are scoped and quoted as fixed-price projects. Where a change is useful to everyone it becomes part of the product.
How is my data protected?
Each business runs in its own tenant with role-based permissions, and every action is recorded in an activity log. The cloud runs behind Cloudflare with encrypted connections, automated backups and monitoring. You can export your data at any time.
Do you offer a free trial?
We run a live demo on your own sample data instead of a self-serve trial, because an ERP only makes sense once your items, parties and VAT setup are in it. Request a demo and we will call within one working day.
