Inventory software for garment factories and small manufacturers in Bangladesh

Track fabric, trims and machine spares in the store with adjustments, transfers between units and stock valuation. Auto replenishment rules flag spares before a machine stands idle.

Even without a production module, a factory has a serious stores problem. Fabric, trims, spares and consumables sit in more than one store, get issued against jobs, and are counted properly perhaps once a year.

Treating each store as a warehouse with documented transfers and adjustments gives you the part of the picture that matters most for cash: what you are holding, what it is worth, and what has not moved in six months.

What goes wrong for garment factories

Everyday problems in this trade, from the industry guide.

  • Salary sheet built in Excel

Attendance is exported from the device, overtime is added by hand, and advances and deductions are remembered. One wrong cell and the whole floor knows by lunchtime on payday.

  • Overtime and shifts hard to prove

Buyers and auditors ask for attendance and overtime records. When punches, shift rosters and pay live in different files, producing a clean record for a compliance audit takes days.

  • Attendance devices not connected

The ZKTeco machine at the gate stores punches locally. Someone downloads them with a pen drive, and late or missing downloads mean disputed attendance and delayed pay for everyone.

  • Purchases and stock untracked

Fabric, trims, thread and machine spares are bought on request and issued without records. Nobody knows what is in the store or what the last supplier charged for the same item.

Store stock for fabric and spares

What you get

The parts of Inventory & Warehouses that matter most here.

  • Multi-warehouse stock summary

See quantity on hand and available per item per warehouse, with bins inside a warehouse for larger godowns. Warehouse access controls who can view or move stock at each location.

  • Transfers between godowns

Create a transfer, approve it, ship it and receive it at the destination, scanning barcodes at each step. The destination warehouse updates only on receipt, so nothing is counted twice or lost in between.

  • Adjustments and stock control

Post adjustments for damage, shrinkage or count differences with a reason, and set minimum and maximum levels per item. Low stock alerts can go out by SMS through the SMS module.

  • Stock valuation methods

Value stock by FIFO, LIFO or weighted average, run a valuation comparison to see how each method changes your closing stock, and report valuation by warehouse for the balance sheet.

  • Stock aging

See how long each item has sat in each warehouse in aging buckets, so slow movers are discounted, returned or bundled before they tie up more cash than they are worth.

  • Barcodes in bulk

Design barcode label templates, generate barcodes for items, variants and serials in batches, and print sheets for a whole consignment. Items can also be imported with their existing EAN-13 barcodes.

A working day for garment factories

The sequence this trade actually runs, from the industry guide.

  1. Workers punch in at the gate

ZKTeco punches sync to the ERP through the LAN agent. Late arrivals, absences and shift mismatches show up on the attendance dashboard the same morning.

  2. Supervisors approve overtime and leave

Overtime entries and leave applications go through the approval workflow. Corrections to attendance are recorded with a reason and an audit trail.

  3. Store issues materials against requisitions

Requisitions are finalised into purchase orders where needed, goods are received with a GRN, and store stock updates for fabric, trims and spares.

  4. Payroll is processed for the period

Salary structures, attendance, overtime, advances and tax slabs produce the payroll. It moves through process, approve, disburse and finalise, and payslips are generated.

  5. Accounts close the month

Payroll, purchases and expenses have posted automatically. Bank reconciliation is done, the period is locked and the Mushak return summary is reviewed.

Questions

Answered plainly, including where the answer is no.

Can stores be separated from finished goods?

Yes. Each store is a warehouse with its own stock and its own access, and movements between them are documented at both ends.

Does this cover production consumption?

Not as production. Issues can be recorded as stock movements and adjustments, but bills of materials and work orders belong to the manufacturing module, which is on the roadmap rather than available.
