Steadfast courier integration with SORS ERP
Steadfast is API integrated: consignments are booked from the order and tracking updates come back into the ERP.
Steadfast is one of the couriers most used by online sellers in Bangladesh, particularly for cash on delivery parcels around Dhaka and to district towns.
The reason an API matters more here than it would elsewhere is cash on delivery. When the courier collects the money, the courier becomes part of your receivables, and every parcel booked outside the system is a receivable nobody is tracking.
What is actually built
Stated plainly, including the parts that are not finished.
Steadfast is API integrated in SORS ERP: consignments are booked from the order, tracking updates are pulled back in, and courier payments are reconciled against shipments so collected and pending cash on delivery are both visible. Courier label file generation is still unfinished, so print labels from the courier's own panel for now.
How to set it up
In order. Each step assumes the one before it.

Get your Steadfast API credentials
Request API access from Steadfast for your merchant account and collect the key and secret.

Add the courier in configuration
Open courier setup in SORS ERP, add Steadfast and enter the credentials.

Assign warehouses and delivery methods
Set which warehouses ship through Steadfast and which delivery methods it serves, per outlet.

Book a test consignment
Create an order and book it, then confirm the consignment ID and the first tracking update come back.

Reconcile the first settlement
When the first courier payment arrives, match it against the shipments it covers and confirm the payout posts to accounts.

Can I book a Steadfast parcel without leaving the order?
Yes. The consignment is created from the order through the API, so the shipment, the customer address and the cash on delivery amount all come from the record you already have.
Does tracking update automatically?
Tracking updates are pulled back into the shipment record, so the delivery status is visible in the ERP rather than only in the courier panel.
Can I print a shipping label from the ERP?
Not yet. Courier label file generation is unfinished, so labels come from the courier's own panel. We would rather say that than imply a feature that is not there.
