Product names of other companies are trademarks of their respective owners and are used for comparison only.

Both are accounting products rather than full ERPs, and both are used in Bangladesh without a Bangladesh edition. The comparison is desktop against cloud, and a per machine licence against a dollar subscription.

Neither produces Mushak forms natively. For a business that has to issue a Mushak 6.3, that is the finding that matters, and it applies equally to both. What separates them is how you want to work: Tally in an accounts room, Zoho from anywhere.

SORS Technology makes SORS ERP and is neither of these vendors, so treat this as a summary of public information rather than an impartial review. Facts come from each vendor's own website; anything we could not verify is marked unknown, and SORS ERP is shown in a third column so you can see where we stand.

About TallyPrime

TallyPrime is desktop accounting software from Tally Solutions, an Indian company founded in 1991 that reports more than 2.7 million businesses using its products. Tally runs a Bangladesh website in Bangla and English with local partners, lists Silver (single PC) at USD 405 and Gold (multi-user) at USD 1,215 with a year of TSS, and offers a 7-day trial. Features on the Bangladesh site include invoicing and accounting, inventory with bill of materials and reorder levels, banking with bank reconciliation, payroll, browser access to reports and sharing invoices on WhatsApp. Mushak forms are not listed for TallyPrime; older Tally.ERP 9 documentation covered the earlier Musak 11 invoice format.

Questions

Answered plainly, including where the answer is no.

Can either produce a Mushak 6.3?

Not natively. TallyPrime handles Bangladesh VAT through configuration or partner add-ons; Zoho Books has no Bangladesh edition at all. Businesses using either here generally handle Mushak documentation outside the software.

Which suits a small services business?

Zoho Books is easier to start with and works from anywhere, which suits a small services firm with simple compliance. TallyPrime suits a business whose accountant already knows it and works from one place.
