What is Party ledger?
A party ledger is the running account of one customer or supplier: every invoice, payment, return and adjustment in date order, with the outstanding balance after each.

In Bangladesh
This is the digital form of the due khata, and it is often the first report a shop owner asks to see. Its usefulness depends entirely on whether payments and returns are recorded against the right party at the time they happen.
An example
A customer says they paid last Thursday. The party ledger shows the invoice, a payment against a different invoice, and a return credited in between, which turns an argument into a two minute conversation.
In SORS ERP

Questions
Answered plainly, including where the answer is no.
Is a party ledger the same as a due khata?
It is the same idea kept properly. The khata records what is owed; the party ledger records every invoice, payment, return and adjustment that produced the balance, so the figure can be explained rather than only asserted.
