In Bangladesh
The numbering is what makes the vocabulary local. A supplier will ask for a 6.3, an auditor will ask for the 6.1 register, and the monthly return is the 9.1. Knowing which number does what is most of VAT conversation in Bangladesh.
An example
A shop in New Market sells a printer for BDT 12,000 plus VAT to a company buyer. The buyer asks for "the Mushak", meaning the 6.3 tax invoice. That single document then becomes one line in the shop's 6.2 sales register and one line in the buyer's 6.1 purchase register.
In SORS ERP
SORS ERP generates Mushak 6.3 from every sale and maintains the 6.1 purchase register, with Mushak numbering and a submit, approve, reject and cancel workflow, plus VAT and turnover tax return summaries.

How many Mushak forms are there?
The VAT and SD Rules 2016 prescribe a numbered series covering invoices, registers, notes and returns, of which most businesses meet perhaps six regularly: 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.7, 6.8 and 9.1. The others cover specific situations such as contract manufacturing, transfers and withholding.
